I would think, anyway.
Have we shown these here yet? If not, witness:

And if so, witness this alternative instead, with my apologies:

Blair Herder you lucky, lucky devil…

Here’s a map, furnished in the 1800s by a Fine Purveyor of ‘WEANERS’… showing all states by their hog nicknames. For, you know, matters of science. And flavor.

On the heels of Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol actually being out, seen, and loved, I’m following up this initial exploratory mmGirls post with a more expanded one. What I like about Patton is that she is something of a follow-your-dreams success story, growing up in LA near the studio and thinking that one day she’d be an actress and actually being one of the few to get there. Additionally, she’s that mix of details I enjoy: EHP, athletic as all hell, and confident, without losing sex appeal in any quarter. Below, for science:

Thanks to her role in Idlewild, a few great retro-style pics, just for me.

This was the highlight for me in Ghost Protocol. Sure, she was rad in her tank top and tactical pants, and sure, she was glamorous in her jade eveningwear, but for my money, the executive suit with 30" heels and calves that cut glass…

Not hard to dwarf Tom Cruise, but she has that Onotopp quality, where you look at her in her strategic short dresses and see the thighs and think: that could be dangerous. Physically.

Sometimes she has a look that I can really see for one of my combat-oriented TRDL characters. This might make it to a fantasy casting someday…

Poor Tom.
That is all!

There is almost universal dread and hatred over the Before Watchmen prequels. And yet, this all by fans who haven’t seen the work, or creators that weren’t asked. When you look at the list of creators actually signing on to such a controversial project, you have to wonder if they placed their bets cleverly.
First up, a peak at Darwyn Cooke’s Minutemen. I think this guy can do no wrong. And I’ll definitely read this.
Make no mistake, I’ll read all of them.* I’ve been vocal about my willingness to accept prequels/sequels/spin-offs/reboots of great books for what they are, either enjoying them, or abandoning them to the sea of faded memory if not. Never affects my appreciation for the original work.
*Unless the creative team is unpleasant, of course. No time for that.

Hmmmm… chameleon? Or more likely to me, regenerating or mutating flesh devoid of pigment before it’s fully-baked. I really like that idea. Especially if this means he got his legs chopped off, rather than his arm…

At 3am with screaming bebes, it’s the little things that amuse the most.
